Moong Dal Curry


Ingredients

Moong Dal: 1 cup

Onion: 1 medium

Garlic: 5 – 6 flakes

Coconut: ¼ cup grated

Red Chilly powder: ½ teaspoon

Turmeric: ½ teaspoon

Cumin seeds: ½ teaspoon

Mustard: ½ teaspoon

Oil: 2 tablespoon

Curry Leaves: 1 string

Salt: as required


Method

Soak Moong dal for 1 hour.

Cook moong dal with chopped onion, salt,  garlic, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, coconut, cumin seeds & salt. (3-4 whistles)

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard.

When it splutters add coconut, curry leaves & sauté well till golden brown.

Pour this above curry & serve
