Rajma Curry


Rajma: 1 and 1/2 cup

Onion: 1 number (big)

Green Chilly: 1 number

Tomato: 1 number (big)

Garlic: 1 tablespoon

Ginger: 1 tablespoon

Coriander Powder: 1/2 tablespoon

Red Chilly powder: 1/4 teaspoon

Coriander Leaves:  1 tablespoon

Turmeric: 1/3 teaspoon

Mustard: ½ teaspoon

Oil: 4 tablespoon

Curry Leaves: 2 strings

Salt: as required


Cook rajma with water in pressure cooker. (3 – 4 whistles).

Heat oil in pan, add mustard.

When it splutters add chopped onion, green chilly & sauté well.

Add garlic & ginger, sauté well till raw smell goes.

Add chopped tomatoes, cook till tomatoes are soft.

Add coriander, turmeric, red chilly powder & salt. Saute well.

Add rajma & mix well. Add water keep for cooking.

Cook to get semi thick consistency. Add rajma masala & chopped coriander leaves.

Serve hot.
