Beetroot Kichadi

Beetroot Kichadi


Beetroot: 1 number

Curd: 1 cup

Shallots: 2 – 3 number (Medium)

Green Chilly: 1 number

Turmeric Powder: 1/3 teaspoon

Curry leaves: 4 – 5 numbers

Oil: 1 tablespoon

Salt: as required


Cook beetroot well

Grind beetroot to a fine paste

Heat oil in pan, add mustard to it, when it splutters add green chilly & sauté well.

Then add shallots, curry leaves, turmeric, salt & sauté well.

Add beaten curd to it

Mix well for 5 minutes on low flame. Don’t allow to boil.

Switch off flame & serve hot
