Brown Chana Curry

Brown Chana Curry


Brown chana: 1 and ½ cup

Onion: 1 number (big size)

Ginger: 1 teaspoon (crushed)

Garlic: 1 teaspoon (crushed)

Coriander Powder: 1 and ½ tablespoon

Kashmiri Chilly powder: ½ tablespoon

Turmeric: ½ teaspoon

Mustard: ½ teaspoon

Garam Masala Powder: ½ teaspoon

Oil: 2 tablespoon

Salt: as required


Cook brown chana with chopped onion, salt, ginger & garlic.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard.

When it splutter add coriander, kashmiri chilly powder & sauté well

Add ½ cup of water to it then add turmeric powder & sauté well.

Add cooked brown chana mix to it & sauté.

Keep for cooking, when boil comes add garam masala powder & curry leaves to it.

Cook well to get semi thick gravy.

Switch off flame & serve.
